Today is my birthday and I have big day planned ahead. I hope by the time that you are reading this I have already attended Pure Barre so I can check that off of my list. Tim is working out of town (don’t worry we have plans when he gets home) and my children are at my parents, so a day with the girls it is. I am shooting for a late lunch and some time by the pool to be followed up by a mani/pedi. There is no doubt in my mind that champagne is in my future today. I have not made a secret of the fact that it is my favorite libation. When the girls at Oli.O asked me about champagne with a splash of their flavored white balsamics vinegars I was all in and I knew I wanted to post about it on my birthday.
I am a huge fan of Oli.O Olive Oils and Balsamics and use them frequently in my recipes. (See all of the related articles below.) They just add an extra dimension that makes you wonder where all of the flavor is coming from, and adding a little to your bubbly is no different. Adding a flavored balsamic like peach, mango or grapefruit (my personal fave) to your champagne is a simple, healthier way to elevate a drink and make it feel even more like summer. It only takes a splash or two of vinegar to add tons of flavor so add sparingly. Cheers!
