It is that time of year. I’m not talking about the leaves changing or pumpkin spice everything or the fact that you have made the switch from white wine to red. I’m talking about the Junior League of Birmingham’s Shop Save and Share program. It kicks off today, Wednesday, October 21st, and I have my card in hand. I am ready to get 20% off almost everywhere I shop and eat in Birmingham and get a little Christmas shopping done while I’m at it. If you think about it, it is crazy not to buy one.
For those of you who totally have it together and know what you are buying everyone for Christmas this is the perfect time to shop. My children don’t complete their list until the 11th hour making things interesting for Santa, but I’ll be buying Christmas gifts for our modern family members, neighbors and teachers in the next few days. The Scribbler has personalized cocktail napkins that make you look like you really put some effort and thought into your gift giving. Monograms Plus has been a huge part of our Christmas shopping the past few years finding perfect personalized gifts for Tim’s mom and co-workers and I have stuffed a mean stocking with lots of their little trinkets. For our nieces and nephews, Learning Express, Smith’s Variety and Snoozy’s Kids have tons of the latest and greatest toys. And let’s not forget The Pant’s Store. They have all the “must-haves” for everyone in your family.
Personally, I will use it at Leaf N Petal to purchase my pansies and at Canterbury Nails for a little mani/pedi action. Alice announced yesterday she needed a new pair of tennis shoes so Little Soles it is. I am all over the gallon of Diva Wash at 20% off from Please Reply right after I stop at the Western Wine Market for a 20% off a case of Pinot. If my kids ask for yogurt in the next 12 days I might just say yes and whip into 32 Degrees or Yogurt Mountain. Best Mom Ever! Oh and my girls’ lunch at Primeaux, lunch after church at Newk’s with the fam and date night at Dyron’s…all 20% off. I’m not even scratching the surface here people. Are you running out of your anti-aging products from Village Dermatology? Have you had your eye on some amazing boots or a new outfit, coat or handbag from Gus Mayer? Boom. Strike while the iron is hot because the Shop Share and Save card is only good until November 1st.
The Shop Share and Save card costs $40 and is good to receive 20% off at over 550 stores and restaurants from Trussville to Hoover and The Summit to the 280 Corridor, as well as in Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills and many others. To purchase your card click here for participating stores and look for locations with an asterisk indicating they are selling the card.
The Junior League would love them to join you for the Shop Share and Save Premiere Party tonight, Wednesday, October 21 at The Summit, at 6pm on the Terrace near Lilly Pulitzer. The event sponsored by Bayer Properties and The Summit will feature giveaways, live music and tantalizing appetizers from several of Birmingham’s best restaurants.
